Tur Budaya 2019

Tur Budaya or Cultural Tour is an annual activity that was held by the OSIS and the school. This year’s Turbud we went to Bali. It was held at 17th until 22nd April.

On the first day, me and my class gathered at Husein-Sastranegara Airport in Bandung at 10 a.m. we waited for some time and ate our lunch at the airport. We checked in at about 11 a.m. until about 12 a.m. It took a while cause there was a long queue. After we checked in, we pray dzuhur and waited until about a half past one. There’s an hour difference between the time in Bandung and in Bali because of the time zone. So we arrived quite late at Bali. After we got off the plane, got on the bus, we went to Jimbaran Beach. We took photos, enjoy the sunset there, and have dinner. However when we were having dinner, it suddenly rained quite heavily so we finish our meal quickly and went to go to the hotel we were staying at. We checked in at the hotel and clean ourselves. After that, me and my friends played and chatted until night.

The second day, we went to Tanjung Benoa where we play watersport. It was quite expensive so I only tried Banana Boat with my other three friends. It was really fun, although I was kind of tensed at the beginning cause I can’t swim. After we play and change clothes, we had lunch in there. We continued to go to Garuda Wisnu Kencana. It was great, we took photos, took a walk around the area of GWK and we even play bike. The last destination on that day was at Nusa Dua where we watch Devdan theatre show. The show was very mesmerizing, I was very impressed. We got back to the hotel soon after the show ended.

The next day, we went to Tirta Empul Temple. It’s actually a Hindu Temple that is used to pray and it had a holy spring in there. We took some photos and watch a traditional hindu ceremony that was held in there. After that we went to Kintamani to have lunch. It’s located near Mt. Batur and Batur Lake. It was the coldest place in Bali that I’ve visited. After that, we went to Panglipuran. It is Balinese Traditional village that’s been declared as the world’s cleanest village. We took photos, took a walk, and visited the houses there. It was quite interesting. However it rained not too long after we took a walk so we had to stay in one of the houses until the rain stopped. After that, we got back to the hotel to prepare for Makrab. We had makrab at Nirmala Hotel, not too far from the hotel we stayed at. I had a good time at the event, it was very fun. We went back to the hotel at almost midnight.

The fourth day, we checked out of the hotel. We went to Kuta Beach but our bus stopped at Krisna cause the road to Kuta was small. We went there using shuttle bus. We took some photos at Kuta and went to Kuta Beachwalk. At 11 a.m. we went back to Krisna to buy goods, souvenirs, also we had lunch in there. After that, my class agreed to go to Tanah Lot. Tanah Lot is a very interesting place. There’s a temple in the middle of the shore. After that we went to Bedugul and took some photos there. It was a great place. Then we had dinner at one of the restaurant and continued to go to the port. We crossed the sea by ferry. I took an hour and after that, we continued to go to Surabaya.

Before we got to Surabaya we visited The Suramadu bridge and then went to the train station. We got back to Bandung by train and arrived at 5 a.m. in Bandung the next day.
